I’ll confess, after i came across a foam foundation make up, I became rather reluctant. I wasn’t positive if this could possibly satisfy my needs. The thing is that, I don’t want too much coverage and being that it’s very warm here I’m rather reluctant to put on too much make up. I’ve already been applying this base for approximately a couple of weeks now and it’s turned out to be a staple unfortunately it’s not flawless, it’s actually got a couple of weaknesses.
Strolling down the cosmetics aisle of Walmart I found the Maybelline Dream Nude Airfoam Foundation priced at $8.44. I thought it a unique idea but nonetheless had my inhibitions. It advertised to be light weight and given that’s precisely what I had been interested in I chose to give it a try. The Natural Beige tone pretty much matches my skin tone to a t; I was pleasantly surprised just how close it was. Normally I have difficulties acquiring a perfect match.
I washed my face, moisturized and then set out on applying my new-fangled foundation. I shook the can and squirted the foundation onto the backside of my hand. It emerged so quickly that I had much more product than called for. I really delighted with exactly how light weight i found it to be on my finger. I put it on it with my finger as advised on the can. The coverage was actually light so I attempted to reapply, though it got a bit heavy/cakey on on my face. I removed it started over. I reached for my stippling brush and then dabbed the foundation on a little before blending it in. This aided me in getting the amount of coverage I had been looking for. While it went on it felt a little bit oily but as you’re dabbing and then blending it in, it’ll get a lot better. It also helps to keep some blotting papers nearby. After that I put on my pressed powder and that was it. It had been a fairly speedy application with pretty great success. I had light weight, moderate coverage that looked natural.
Without a doubt I love it, however if I were capable of controlling the quantity that comes out then I wouldn’t feel like I have been squandering product. Nevertheless, it doesn’t aggravate my pores and skin or even appear to be the source of any acne outbreaks so I will definitely be keeping this around for some time.
Ebony has a great demonstration and review video of the Airfoam Foundation at her Coloured Beautiful Youtube channel where she shows you how to apply the foundation. I find it to be fantastic demo and she brings up some good points in her review.
