This week’s “True Blood” episode, “Hopeless” brings twists and turns to every story line including the death of Roman at Russell’s hand, Russell now free to run the vampires, sexy stripping fairies, cute wolf babies, ghosts, and curses. So, let’s see what did happen in this week’s episode of “True Blood”.
The biggest and most surprising line was not that Russell escaped but that he actually killed Roman, played by Christopher Meloni. Roman looked at Salome for his last connection and as a confirmation of what just happened. What will happen to The Authority now? It looks like even more vampires were infiltrated because of their police and the destruction of all the humans on the bus. They could have been glamoured but no.
Roman’s character was one of the most looked forward new characters this season but as HBO does, no one is exempt from being killed off of a show. It was revealed that Christopher will be playing Colonel Hardy in the “Man of Steel” superman reboot.
The second best story line was that of Sookie and Jason discovering more about their past. Sookie’s walking into the fairy strip club and dragging Jason along was priceless, probably one of the few times that I actual;y laughed. In the show here, Claude, Sookie’s fairy cousin, revealed that the portal to the fairy world and their world is closed, introduced several of his sisters, and confirmed what Hadley had told Jason about vampires killing their parents. But, Claude mentioned that the vampire stopped the car because it smelled Sookie’s blood? I wonder how this is going to play in the show? Will they keep to the books that it really was fairies that had something to do with her parents’ death and Sookie’s kidnapping or will it be a legitimate story line? I really hate for them to turn Sookie more against the vampires.
Sookie really appeared to have given up on everything. She just hasn’t been a big part of this season except to be drug alone. I haven’t really gotten anything out of her character this season. But, let’s hope that the fairy story will pull her more to the front of the show again.
Emma ended up being a resourceful little wolf girl by finding her grandmother and telling her what happened. Luna and her ex mother in law’s conversation was very touching and will really let her and Sam look for the shifter assassins who at this time knows and has rescued/kidnapped Hoyt from Fangtasia. They are probably just some kids from town but Sam killed their weapons supplier by trying to save Andy’s life.
Meanwhile, Alcide has challenged JD to the title of pack master, Lafayette visited his mother who told her that Jesus is trying to talk to him and all this started when they went to visit Jesus’ grandfather, Jessica and Tara get into a bar fight, and Terry left Arlene standing with her heartbroken as he leaves to break this fire monster curse.
All in all, a very action packed episode as always.
This is episode six of “True Blood” and the season is at the half way point with this episode. So, how will the writers’ finish out this season? What role will the fairies play and what story lines will cross?
