I haven’t been to SeaWorld Orlando in quite some time now. At first, I was a little weary of the idea of going to SeaWorld. Then, I finally went there and just the pure anticipation of waiting for those parking lot gates to open at 8:30am was already a thrill! After parking, the anticipation of getting my tickets from the guest services window made me even more antsy to go ride Manta. When I got my ticket and headed through the front gates, the first thing I rode was what I had put my sights on before entering the park, Manta. This ride is simply breath taking! The way you lay down and look below you, which you normally cannot do, makes you truly feel like you are on the belly of a mighty manta.
After taking a ride on Manta one or two times, I then proceeded to the next best roller coaster, Kraken! Although Kraken is a far different ride than Manta, Kraken is just as good. Kraken gives you that jolt of adrenaline that you need to continue on with they day! The inversions and the swooping and diving motions all correspond perfectly to achieve an adrenaline pumping ride.
Following my adrenaline jolt, I took a break and wandered over to the Blue Horizons show, which is the Dolphin show. The colors and animals all blend seamlessly together and produce amazing visuals and choreography. It was nice to take a break with this peaceful yet exciting Dolphin and Exotic bird show.
The Dolphins were nice, but the sharks were even better! I then went to shark encounter and stood face to face with one of the most menacing creatures in the sea, the Great White! It was intoxicating walking through the aquarium and viewing the sharks’ menacing jaws.
I also got to go on Turtle Trek, which is SeaWorld’s newest attraction. It features a 360° domed screen, in which you stand, that projects in 3D. In this 3D turtle journey, you experience the live of a turtle, from when you first hatch, to when you lay eggs of your own. It also teaches you about beach clean-up and conservation.
After taking a lunch break, I got to see the staple of the SeaWorld experience, One Ocean. Which is the Killer Whale (Shamu) show. In this show, you see amazing stunts by humans and whales alike! This show also gives you a great lesson in teaching you to conserve and to know that we are all in one ocean, so we need to treat it correctly.
The worst part of my trip was walking back to the car. Although I was a bit skeptical about the idea of going to SeaWorld at first, I found that it is truly a destination that cannot be missed when visiting Orlando. From the amazing attractions to the breath-taking shows, SeaWorld is an amazing Orlando attraction and everyone should come and visit!
