“embrace. embody. empower.” The true words spoken by Stephanie Snyder, vinyasa yoga teacher extraordinaire…
If you’ve never experienced Stephanie’s classes, check her out at Urban Flow Yoga at her new–yet not so new–home in San Francisco on Mission. Stephanie is a legend in SF, bringing in 100+ students to her heated vinyasa flow classes, taught multiple times per week.
Her dynamic yet peaceful voice alone sets the pace for each class before you begin your own story–the one you live on your mat in your yoga practice. While under Stephanie’s wing, you will fly.
She leads you in her heartfelt way, never skipping a beat along with her carefully selected indie music mixes that take you into the deepest versions of your yoga poses to date. Her classes are a sure thing. No doubt, we truly are lucky to have Stephanie teaching the best yoga in the Bay Area.
If you’re a regular to her classes, you already know that the energy in the room before class even starts sets the tone for the cosmic experience to follow, which leads into your evening after you’ve left the studio with or without your fellow classmates. You always know you’ll be back again soon.
Proudly, Urban Flow Yoga is a donation-based studio which shares its yoga with everyone. Just show up with your mat and your smile (and a water bottle to fill up with the built-in water filtration system) and change your life, one class at a time. A regular yoga practice promises to bring you a healthier body, peace of mind and transcendent experience, time and time again.
Stephanie’s classes are the place to be, whether you’re feeling at your yogic best or not–tired, angry, sad, stressed, manic, not in the mood for yoga. Just showing up when you feel something weighing against you is a step in the right direction toward breaking patterns that do not serve you. As Stephanie always reminds the class, your yoga practice–that also emulates your life–is always perfect just the way it is.
If you are new to Stephanie’s yoga, after your first class (that your friends have no doubt begged you to attend for awhile), you might feel like telling them Why didn’t you tell me? Then you will silently remember their pleas, and in that moment know that they do know you.
Good news if you’re on the teacher track yourself… lucky you. Stephanie is teaching her infamous Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training 200/500 hour programs beginning August 31, 2012. Check her website for more details.
