In this bustling century of working overtime, resting under-time, school stress and social media addiction, who has time to wait with baited breath and gnawed nails by the phone for a call – or at the very least a text message?
Less than 20% of us, reports The Daily Mail, citing results from recent polls on the dating site eHarmony. The site found that “73% of women and 71% of men branded the traditional idea ‘ridiculous.'”
The article goes on to report that the days of having to “feign popularity when asked on a last-minute date” are over, with an overwhelming 89% of women and 77% of men saying they would opt for a same-day date if asked.
Another interesting result from the survey showed that 44% of women actually enjoy cheesy pickup lines…when used properly. Learn some funny pickup lines that could actually help you get a date here.
