This afternoon word started spreading across the interweb about the next batch of “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3” downloadable content, what would it be and when would it be coming out.
The leak, thanks to Youtube users Gamecheat13, showed video footage of three new multiplayer maps, titled: Gulch, Parish and Boardwalk. All three new maps are expected to drop in September for the Xbox 360 first, and Call of Duty: Elite Premium members.
The maps are very different from one another, and unlike anything we’ve seen so far in “Modern Warfare 3”. Boardwalk is exactly like you’d expect, a boardwalk similar to New Jersey or Alantic City. There’s gift shops, restaurants and even an inflatable pig. Gulch on the other hand is being described as a desert canyon map. Parish takes place in and around a cathedral, so you can get biblical on someone.
The video of the Parish map along with showing the other maps has been quickly pulled down, but thankfully a few people were able to get screenshots. The above picture is from Boardwalk, if you couldn’t guess. MP1st also weighed in on the leak, speculating that a new game mode originally hinted on the Twitter feed for Call of Duty: Elite is dropping onto consoles sometime in August.
As usual, Xbox 360 owners will be getting every bit of DLC before Playstation 3 owners, thanks to the agreement that all new content shows up on the Xbox 360 first.
