Not many who I meet ever say Susan your a wall flower. For those who follow my column you all know that many issues I write about are controversial. For me the meaning of that word is for those who really care about an issue. As a writer I care about many things that affect all of us on a daily basis and the things that will affect our futures. What do you care about? What makes your blood boil? What issues of this place and time really get to you? Some people go about their daily lives and let little get to them. They can look the other way. Watch as someone is treated unfairly, see a crime and do nothing, or say my vote will not count. For those of you that recognize the apathy I speak of then you are either one of the individuals who just doesn’t care or you are the person who is out there making a difference. These comments are not to judge they are my observations about the human species.
My article before that helped launch this new examiner page is one of the issues that affect many woman in their lives. Choice~!~! with regards to their own bodies. Choice is an act or instance of choosing; selection. It is very personal. Not for anyone else but the individual making that choice to be able to think about and then choose what is right for them. This is not a Republican or Democratic issue this is a personal issue. So why in the year 2012 are politican’s and government taking the liberty to even discuss abortion? Think about this carefully. There are many who govern who are still sticking their noses into the personal lives of woman and their right to choose. Why I ask you? I want to know where are the politican’s that are taking about men having a vasectomy which is a surgical procedure for male sterilization and/or permanent birth control. If we all have equal rights here in America then why isn’t this a topic of conversation? I do not think I have ever heard a conversation about this issue discussed by any male politican. Guess why? Because its not anyones business about his choice. Just like it is no ones business if a woman chooses to have an abortion. For whatever her reason is it is hers to make and no ones elses. This writer is pro life. But I want my right to choose what is good for me.
