One fan of The Wanted is certainly glad they came. Not only is the band platinum selling recording artists but apparently they’re also EMT’s in training.
British tabloid The Sun reports that band members Nathan Sykes and Tom Parker helped a girl at the Glasgow airport on Sunday after she got so excited at the sight of “Glad You Came” stars that she fainted, smacked her head on a brick wall and started having a seizure.
The band noticed what had happened and quickly called 999, the UK equivalent to America’s 911 system.
“It was as we pulled up at the airport that one of our fans collapsed on the floor. Nath stayed by her side while I called 999,” band member Tom Parker said, “It was pretty frightening, but anyone would have done the same.”
Despite being late for their flight, Nathan stopped the bus and got out to make sure she was OK. The guys also went on Twitter later that day to make sure she was fine.
It’s good to know that even with all the success they’ve experienced in the last year, that they’re still down to earth guys that truly care about their fans. The Wanted are rumored to be touring with Justin Bieber when his Believe Tour kicks off in America later this year, that tour stops by Pepsi Center in Denver in January 2013.
