The inaugural SouthSide Bethlehem Bike Show will be held on Saturday, August 18th from 1 to 7 p.m. The show created by the Downtown Bethlehem Association SouthSide Arts District merchants is an effort to attract new people from around the Lehigh Valley to their stores and restaurants. There will be food, live performances, and the event is expected to attract approximately 300-500 bikers of all ages and various types of motorcycles. The smoke-friendly event is located on the parking lots adorning the Bethlehem Greenway between 3rd and 4th streets. The 32nd Annual Roasting Ears of Corn Festival, a two-day celebration of Native American culture will be held August 18-19, in the Little Lehigh Parkway at the Museum of Indian Culture, 2825 Fish Hatchery Road, Allentown.
Allentown presents the 7th Annual Doggie Dip Days, where dogs get a chance to swim in the Allentown city pools as they close for the summer. Resident rate is $4 and non-resident rate is $6. A Heritage Walk at Hugh Moore Park, Easton, will be held August 19, at 1:30 p.m. to celebrate the Lehigh Canal and its historic background. The free walk will begin at the Canal Boat Store. There will be locally grown fruits and vegetables, fresh herbs, meat orders, eggs, breads and pastries, cookies, specialty popcorn and trail mixes.
The Downtown Bethlehem Association Farmers’ Market is held at the Sun Inn Courtyard, 556 Main Street in Bethlehem. The market will run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. every Tuesday until October 23.
The SteelStacks Farmers’ Market will not be held due to Musikfest until August 23 and will then continue through November 1.
