It’s Labor Day weekend and everyone is in a holiday mood. I’m going to be at DragonCon, so I won’t be around any of the clubs this weekend, but there’s plenty going on so that you can go and hear some great music!
Friday, Sandra Hall is at Blind Willie’s, The Hollidays are at North River Tavern in Sandy Springs during the day and later at Fat Matt’s, and Loose Shoes are at Moondance Lounge in Suwanee. Melanie Denard is at Nik’s Place, in Marietta. TRY (The Rhythm Yard) is at Darwin’s, in Marietta, and The Jumpin’ Jukes are at Spiced Right Rib House in Roswell. Frankie’s Blues Mission is at Northside Tavern, too, making this one packed night for music!
Saturday, Houserocker Johnson is at Blind Willie’s, Little G Weevil and Maurice Nazarro are at Fat Matt’s, Beau Hall spreads cheer at Nik’s Place, and the Rhythm Raiders are having a CD release party at Darwin’s.
Sunday, Mudcat & Friends are at Blind Willie’s, Snake Legs return to Fat Matt’s, Marty Manous entertains at Nik’s Place, and Uncle Sugar light up Northside Tavern as always.
That’s it for the weekend. Stay tuned for The Week Ahead, also coming today since I will be away from the computer tomorrow, to find out what’s happening for Labor Day on Monday and beyond!
