This Labor Day from Friday, August 31 through Monday, September 3, 2012 residents can enjoy the Taste of Polonia at the Copernicus Center, 5216 W. Lawrence in Chicago. The event will have non-stop music on five stages featuring international and local Polish and American bands, live DJ’s, great Polish food and Polish beer, kids music stage and play area, and it would not be fun without the folk dancing.
At this 33th annual event music will fill the air with bands like Bad Medicine, Lenny Zielinski & the D Street Band and Maggie D. Make plans to come on a empty stomach and a full wallet, as the food vendors will be plentiful with great food, with your choice of delightful sweets to down home Polish cooking and the merchant vendors will have gifts and trinkets for you to purchase to remind you of the great time you had or to send to that someone special. There will also be information booths like, Medlife, WTD Telecommunications, International Polish Nurses Association and many more.
Admission to this event is adults $7, Seniors $5 and children under 12 are free. There is unlimited free parking at Wright College with free shuttles to the grounds.
