Air Force Appreciation Day Run and Walk Get out and show your love for those who fly to protect our freedoms. Mountain Home’s annual Air Force Appreciation Day includes a 5 mile run and 3 mile walk, following the Commander’s Social at Carl Miller Park, at 6:30 p.m. For more information, call 587-4334.
Saturday, September 8
Table Rock Challenge It’s pretty simple: 4.5 miles up, 4.5 miles down. Run to the cross, get your picture taken with Smokey the Bear, and then run back. But don’t confuse simple with easy. Run Fido Run Doggie Dash This fun event raises funds for Idaho animal shelters and welfare organizations. Bring your pooch and enjoy this family-friendly 5K walk/run. Held at Eagle Island Park, this event begins at 10 a.m. For more information, click on this link.
Avimor Bike Demo Days From 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., you’ll find all sorts of things to amuse the cyclist in you. The event includes guided trail rides, live music, and more. For more information, click on this link.

Run for the Health of It This 5K run/walk benefits the Epilepsy Foundation of Idaho and takes place on the ISU-Meridian campus, at 1311 E. Central Ave., Meridian. The race starts at 9:30 a.m. For more information, click on this link.
YMCA Hidden Springs Youth Triathlon This event includes a 150 yard swim, 5K bike ride, and 1K run for ages 12 and younger. For ages 13 and older, the course includes a 300 yard swim, 10K bike ride, and 2K run. Everything takes place at the Hidden Springs YMCA. For more information, click on this link.

St. Luke’s Women’s Fitness Celebration Ladies, get ready to run, walk, and stroll in this grandmother of all women’s fitness events. Dust off those feather boas, grab your funky hats and silly sunglasses, and get ready for Celebration. This event is fun for women of all ages. If you only choose one race this year, choose this one. Ste. Chapelle Wine Run Ste. Chapelle Winery hosts this race in 5K, 10K, and half-marathon, and full marathon distances. The full marathon begins at 8 a.m. All other distances begin at 9 a.m. For more information, click on this link.
CMY5K In this unique race, runners wear a plain white t-shirt and get pelted with different colored powders as they go through different Color Splash Zones, about every half mile. Intrigued?
