You only get so much information from a two minute trailer, so starting on Wednesday August 15 Treyarch is letting gamers whom attend GamesCom in Germany a chance to play ‘Call of Duty: Black Ops II’ multiplayer before its November 13 release.
Don’t fret if you can’t attend GamesCom. Major Nelson and AceyBongos will stream the event starting on the same day at 6 p.m. local time (9 a.m. PST, 12 p.m. EST) for the rest of us around the world. ‘Call of Duty’ fans in Europe, United States and Canada can watch the stream through Xbox LIVE, or online at Xbox.com (Europe only), CallofDuty.com, Facebook.com/codblackops as well as Twitch.tv/treyarch.
If you can’t watch it live (because of something called “work” maybe), the premiere content will be available in its entirety via Xbox LIVE video-on-demand shortly after the live broadcast.
This is probably what Treyarch Game Design Director, David Vonderhaar, was hinting at back in June. Through his Twitter account he stated that there were “so many good questions but inaccurate predictions” about ‘Black Ops II’ and that “real answers can start to pour in about 8 weeks from now” which worked out to be GamesCom.
If you don’t want to wait, you can check out the kill streaks (and the single player campaign) thanks to a recent leak.
