Urban Decay is a brand that has garnered a countless amount of fans around the world. The brand continues to expand as each year passes, and there are a variety of products available to consumers. Apart from limited edition products that are periodically released, there are numerous permanent products that are always available. Two types of products from the cosmetics line were reviewed.
The first product reviewed is the Eyeshadow Primer Potion Tube in the Original formula, which is a sheer nude. The product retails for $20.00. The Primer Potion is available in three other shades: Greed (gold), Eden (matte tawny), and Sin (shimmering champagne). The product contains 10% more product. According to the press release, Urban Decay says that they decided to change the packaging, to allow consumers to have access to all of the product contained in the tube. The tube will also allow the user to control the amount of product that is released. The primer (in every shade) now features 11 ml of product rather than 10.
The product is a primer that one can apply before eyeshadow. The primer potion will allow the user to prep the eyelids for the application of products. Eyeshadow will last longer, will not crease or fade. The eyeshadow will also look more vibrant. Original formula dries down invisibly. The other shades — Eden, Sin and Greed — can be worn as eyeshadow or perhaps highlighters.
The primer potion in all shades can be easily applied, and they are of the highest quality. It is clear to see why the product has a following among consumers around the world, and it is truly a beauty essential.
The next product from Urban Decay that was reviewed was the Lip Junkie Lipgloss which retails for $19.00. There are a total of fourteen shades available. The three new shades that were added to the line were reviewed: Naked 2 (sheer light nude/beige), Streak (sheer/light peachy pink), and Strip (opaque mauve/nude). The other shades of gloss included in the line are: Midnight Cowboy (sheer nude sparkle), Peroxide (light pink), Naked (pinky neutral), Wallflower (nude creamy-pink), Heavy (dark neutral beige), Love Junkie (sheer dark red), Jilted (deep pink sparkle), Crush (bright hot pink), Runaway (medium peach shimmer), Red Light (bright pink-red), and Perversion (sheer black sparkle).
The lipglosses feature a soft, angled tip that ensures a smooth, precise application, and comes in a “slimline tube.” The applicator tip is also molded in order to achieve a “mess-free application,” and there is a metallic cap. The glosses are mint-flavored, and contain an ingredient (Maxi Lip) which moisturizes and plumps. The glosses are not sticky, and provide varying degrees of opacity, depending on the shade, and the wearers desired look. With the numerous shades available in the line, there is something to appeal to everyone. There are sheer shades, as well as more opaque shades. The Lip Junkie products will look amazing worn alone, or layered on other lip products. The shades will compliment any skin tone.
The products are available at Sephora, ULTA, Macy’s. Urban Decay products can also be purchased on the official websites: sephora.com, ulta.com, macys.com, beauty.com, and urbandecay.com.
