The WWE looks like they are starting a new direction with the 1001st episode of WWE Monday Night Raw on July 30. At the end of the 1000th episode, CM Punk shocked the world by apparently turning heel when he attacked and laid out The Rock to end the show.
Here is what you can expect to see on the 1001st episode of Monday Night Raw.
CM Punk – It has been one year since CM Punk returned to the WWE and dropped the big pipe bomb on chairman Vince McMahon. Since then, he has feuded with John Cena, Vince McMahon, John Laurinaitis and Daniel Bryan, all while remaining one of the most popular stars in the company.
After laying out The Rock last week and taking a cheap cop-out decision in the Cena match, Punk left the ring to boos for the first time in over a year. This week, it is time to find out why Punk took the cheap way out.
AJ – Last week, Vince McMahon retuned to name AJ Lee the new General Manager of Monday Night Raw. She is obviously a nut case and this week she starts her rein on the show. Does this mean bad things for Daniel Bryan, who she stood up at the altar last week, and people who have made fun of her, such as Eve? What about Punk, who refused her marriage proposal last month?
Dolph Ziggler and Chris Jericho – This is a very interesting new feud between one of the WWE’s hottest young talents and one of the best of all time. Ziggler cost Y2J a match last week and then Jericho repaid the favor on Smackdown. What is next between these two?
John Cena – Every Money in the Bank winner in history has won the championship when they cashed in their briefcase. Last week on Raw, Cena became the first to fail thanks to Big Show. What is next for Cena?
